KCF Macabuca

KCF Macabuca is the product of two of the most pre-potent genetic lines in the industry. His dam is a CCNF Matrix Majesty daughter that has pushed a champion every time bred. And Macabuca's sire is Beethoven's Dorian, the maker of extreme quality at every turn. We waited several years to choose and use our Dorian breeding so that our Majesty was available - and boy it didn't disappoint!
Macabuca is exhibiting everything that we are looking for at Kendall Creek. His phenotype is a given, 'spot-on". The fleece is very bright and uniform throughout the body, indicative of the fineness that will take him far into the future her at KCF. The coverage and density are bountiful, and we certainly feel he has the goods for a long and meaningful breeding career.

When he made his first trip off the farm, he faired pretty darn well during the 2022 show season. Bested only by a CCNF boy at the 2022 double show in Syracuse, we (and the judges) feel he held his own and then some. Both judges commented that Macabuca and the first place boy were virtually identical in their fleece characteristics, and we love that comparison! 2023 has brought more of the same, with Macabuca holding on to spots in the top half of his classes. He is of course in tough company in the fawn classes where his "just shy of brown" fleece is at a disadvantage to those true fawns. We will work on that color checking with them in the future....
As you can see from the length of time that we have kept Macabuca on our show string, we have always thought very highly of this boy, and he finally proven us right. At last show of his career, Macabuca got his just reward, a Reserve Championship at the 2024 MAPACA Jubilee at the age of 32 months. Can you say lasting fineness....
